Had an absolute blast here. Sat at the bar and enjoyed a fabulous meal. The octopus carpaccio was delicious, as was the duck ragu with gluten free pasta. The orecchiette was good, a little heavy on butter/garlic. Service was great. Loved it!

This would be a 5 star review if the service was a bit faster, there was about 25 minutes between when we finished the appetizer before the entrees came out. The restaurant because of how small it is was a little on the loud side which they can't control. The pastas were really tasty and unique. I think the squid ink had the most wow factor both in terms of presentation and flavors. I didn't taste that much pesto and it wasn't a very sauce heavy pasta which was nice. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and I'd definitely order that again. The papardelle with the shaved foie gras, was the little extra zing that an otherwise normal pasta dish would need. It really pushed it over the top and surprised me. The gnudi was odd, had good flavor but I wasn't a fan of the texture, but that's just my preference since it's so soft. The morelle mushrooms were amazing as well. There was also some magic going on with the crab fat butter flavor in the oysters and I don't event like oysters. Would definitely go again with a rez. Walked in at 9:30 and still almost got turned away.

Excellent Italian option in the Village. I played the Resy Notify game and got a table for a Friday night. My boyfriend and I shared: + La tur polenta tortellini + Roasted oysters + Agnolotti + Squid ink spaghetti + Coriander crusted duck breast + Tiramisu gelato sundae The highlights were the agnolotti and duck breast, though the tortellini app and tiramisu sundae were also fantastic. We ended on espresso martinis, which were great - I like that they were made with oat milk. Really good service, too. 4.5 stars.

Came here for dinner on Friday night and had an amazing meal! It's a small unassuming spot in the West Village, with attentive service and inventive Italian cuisine. The waiter recommended that we order a few dishes to share; the portions aren't huge, but we ordered enough dishes that I was very full by the end of the meal. We ordered: - Warm Rosemary Focaccia: So delicious and the butter it was served with made it even better. - Prosciutto di Parma: Can't go wrong here, the prosciutto was fresh and the apples and horseradish was a unique addition. - La Tur Polenta Tortellini: This dish seemed so simple but the flavor was incredible. Tortellini served with oil, parm cheese, and honey. Dipped in all three combined, delicious! - Crespelle: Loved this! The butternut squash made the dish. - Tortellini: This dish was unique but VERY savory, especially with the hazelnut and balsamic combined. Definitely good as a dish to try and share, but probably not one I would order for myself. - Orrechiette: This dish was surprisingly my favorite! The combination of the pesto and cherry peppers gave it a little spice, it was delicious. - Ricotta Gnudi: YUM...another very rich dish that was perfect for sharing. The woodear mushrooms and cream sauce paired well together. - Tiramisu Gelato Sundae: Can't go wrong with tiramisu, and this was amazing combined with the ice cream and lady fingers.

The food here is delicious, but pretty overpriced. I had the ricotta gnudi and broccoli rabe with cannellini beans. The gnudi was somewhere between gnocchi and manicotti - stuffed with ricotta and still soft like a shell, but small, maybe double the size of the regular gnocchi. It came in a sage butter with mushrooms, which was a great rich and savory accompaniment. However, at $26 for the portion, each gnudi dumpling clocks in at about $3.50 each, which just feels way too steep. The broccoli rabe and beans was much more worth it at $12. The sauce was thick and tangy, and the beans made it hearty and filling. The quality is all great, but the gnudi dish especially is just way too expensive. Maybe pick a different pasta dish and the cost comes down to something slightly more reasonable.

Such a cute restaurant I sat at the counter with my mom and it was really fun to see the food being created in front of us! We started with the braised artichokes (9/10 delicious and the breadcrumbs were a nice added crunch). I also got the La Violetta cocktail which was their take on an aviation (10/10 a beautiful cocktail and a perfect mix of sweet and refreshing) For entrees, I ordered the calamarata which was their take on a carbonara (10/10 it was so good! The noodles were definitely cooked Al dente. Also the onions were in big pieces which I loved). My mom ordered the tortellini and I tried one but the balsalmic wasn't for me but she liked it more than mine so it worked out! (8/10) For dessert, we shared the apple olive oil cake which came with Dulce de leche and cinnamon Chantilly (9/10 it was really good but not as apple-y as I was expecting! The Dulce de leche was really sweet but it contrasted well with the cake and Chantilly!) Not a traditional Italian meal but so worth it!

Managed to snag a reservation for the chef's counter seats on a Friday night. Wish I had come with a bigger group because there were so many things that I had wanted to try on the menu. After much consideration, we decided on the Octopus Carpaccio, Pappardelle, and Agnolotti. Everything was absolutely delish! You can taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients used for each dish. The pappardelle was my favorite. The pasta had the perfect al dente texture and the sauce was very flavorful. The lamb in the agnolotti was soft and tender. The gravy was good at first but got a little salty after a few bites. Our server Marina was very helpful and attentive. She provided her recommendations and came around to ensure we were enjoying our meal. This would be a great place for a date night, but I would try to get seats at the tables as it was a bit tight at the chef's counter.

Made a last minute reservation for the Chefs Counter right when they opened on a Friday night. It was pretty empty when I arrived and when I got seated at the Chefs Counter, realized it was really hot with the open kitchen to the left and some mini toaster oven right next to my seat. I don't think the whole area is that hot but the seats directly next to the mini oven definitely were. I then asked the hostess if I could sit at the bar instead and they were very accomodating. Got a couple glasses of red and started off with the Rosemary Focaccia (5/5- I love all bread and this one was a must. My bf doesn't particularly like bread and he even ate 2 pieces) and Braised Artichoke (3.5/5- this was also delicious but too rich for our liking. After a few bites I felt a bit iffy but it was definitely tasty). Then for our entrees, we got the Pappardelle (5/5- star of the night. Perfectly cooked noodles, sauce portion was just enough and decent portion) and the Tortellini (3/5- the balsamic was too sweet for what I prefer on a pasta dish. Compared to the Pappardelle, it just wasn't giving me the wow factor. I would not re-order this if I came back). Summary: order the Pappardelle!

If you can beat the tik tok crowd and actually get a reservation here it's worth it! We enjoyed mostly everything we ate which included: - focaccia - braised artichokes - papardelle - lamb agnolotti - tortellini with balsamic sauce - panna cotta dessert The only dish that fell short for us was the tortellini with balsamic glaze sauce. We felt it was a bit too sweet for our liking. Otherwise everything else was a hit!
